Vol bandit waving a Tennessee flag at South Carolina

What rivalry? SC is nobody, hasn't ever been anybody, and has only beaten us when we were at the bottom of the pit of despair.

We stole their soul in 2013 (their best season ever) when we beat them in October to kill any chance of National Championship.

This isn't a rivalry, it's just a nobody school wanting to pretend they are something because they can beat an all time top school during their worst period in history. We'll go back to a time when any player starting for South Carolina has only seen one win vs Tennessee in their lifetime soon enough.

Rivalry....whatever. Bama...Third Saturday in October....that's a rivalry.

When was the last time we be bama ?! They aren't rivals anymore until we start making it competitive again.

Going 7-6 since 2005 vs Tennessee is NOTHING to brag about. Hell, Vandy has won 5 times themselves.

The Bama game, as mentioned by previous poster hasn’t been a rivalry for over a decade, it’s lopsided and history has no impact. The hope is that it becomes a rivalry again in the not too distant future. Best to consider every team in division a rival for the near term.

Talk about a freakin nose dive into concrete though. That's like being Fsu trailing in a 10 year series with Wake Forest.

Exactly. Fact is they should be 9-4. They had no business losing to us in 2013 and 2014 but they found a way to.

Different times they are these days, every team needs to buckle up, including UGA, no gimmes like in days bygone

Folks don’t want to hear it but the playing field ain’t slanted anymore, teams like Vand and Ky have a more level playing field and can bite on any given day.

I'll be moving to Greenwood soon, not too far from Columbia. I have tons of orange and white that I can't wait to wear around there. (crossing my fingers that there's less bama fans in that area too)

Greenwood is awesome, has a lake etc and you wont find any Bammers there. Its all Clemson in that town though.

Why does it only matter that USC beats UT when UT is struggling, but not matter that most of the years that UT regularly beat USC was when USC was struggling themselves, or as you state, was when they "hasn't ever been anybody"?? Seems like those UT wins were quality wins somehow.... :dunno:

The only time beating SC was a quality win was when Spurier was there.

There are only horrible losses when it comes to Vandy, KY, Mo and SC. Same goes for the scrub teams in the west(Ar, Miss St, Ole Miss, and probably A&M).

Fl, Ga, LSU, Auburn, and the Gumps would be quality wins. The rest are expected wins for sure. Even during these “pit of dispaire” years.

I’m counting on CJP&S to get things back to normal for a while and to do it quickly(This year.).
