Back in the early 90’s I was listening to the wake up crew on rock 103. I can’t remember how the conversation came up but a guy called in and stated that he had just over a million miles on Toyota truck.
He said that he only used rotella oil and changed it every 3,000 miles.

Fast forward a couple months and they did a follow up with the guy. Rotella (shell) gave the guy oil changes for life on all his vehicle(s).

When they asked about Toyota, he said he hadn’t heard from them. Lol
