All,

I have put together a Google Sheet that calculates how likely a Vol is going to fit in here based on only their name.

Currently, the data goes back to 2009. I plan on going back much further, in the future (utsports.com only goes back to 2009).

Some examples...We've had a lot of the exact same first or last names show up on Vol Rosters historically.

10x Michael, 9x Tyler, 8x Justin/Chris, 7x Brandon/Matt/Will/Nick/Daniel
12x Williams, 11x Johnson, 9x Jones, 8x Smith

If a player has a name that matches the most popular ones, it gets more points.

If a name is close to one or sounds like one, it will get some points too. Think Carnell matching Darnell.

This is all for fun, and I love making spreadsheets, so I'll occasionally pop into a recruit's thread and give their ranking on the Vol Names sheet.

I'll be posting a list below of how much of a match each '23 recruit we're currently pursuing is.

Max score is 100, but that is almost impossible.

I'll consider posting a link to the sheet in the future. Not yet though.

I think Message to Like ratio should suffice for that :)

Edit: As I see the above message and Hole's "True measure of a man is his likes/post ratio", I am confident in my statement.

Interesting, but if the data doesn't inform a leader decision or any other desired outcome, is it value added data?

In a bit more seriousness, I put this in the RF because I thought this is best applied to upcoming recruits.
