I dont take anything on a message board to heart. It just pisses me off to see a bunch of know-it-all monday morning qb's starting redundant threads desguised as orginal thoughts. If I wanted to see "Crompton sucks" over and over, there's no better place to search but right here at yalls own fan bases message board. Its pathetic to see this many folks climb all over their own damn team after a tough loss. And what the hell is up with BOOing your own guys? I mean, cmon.

it's the world we live in. it happens at alot of places, not just TN. after the show crompton put on last year, new coach or not it was coming. the coach gets a pass, but when he (crompton) makes the same mistakes he made last year he does not. this is TN. our fanbase is fickle and very tough. it is what it is.

agreed. It happens everywhere, and I've never condoned it here in College Station either. I guess it could be worse, we both could have Cody Hawkins lining up under center.

i was honestly shocked that he got to play second half. there is really no choice but to start him for the next game. idk, i'm not the coach and i am sure he knows whats best. i never in a million years thought we'd lose that game tho.

You gotta start the guy that gives you the best chance at winning. That being said, if Crompton is your leader, its gotta be him. I'm not gonna be surprised if yall see all your qb's if things go south quickly though. I also think something is left to be said about a senior that was named the starter on the first game. Stability breeds confidence from the o-line to the back field. Candence's change, huddle communication changes, knowing you can trust eachother changes. The works. I really dont care who the Vols start as long as they represent the Vols with class, play hard, and give them the best chance at getting the W. What I dont like is yanking a kid after a bad outting and reverting back to recollecting on his dismal performance last year. Hell, start Stephens, start the back up punter, start whoever gives you the best shot. Kiffin will make the best choice Im sure.

and yes, youre absolutely right, the vols shoulda won the damn game. You have to convert every 3rd and short.

Another reason I wish yall won Saturday. It would have been great to see the pregame hype about Lane and co. Im sure it'll still get mentioned. A lot.
