Hokies right guard Greg Nosal lost part of finger, played on - ESPN
Virginia Tech left guard Greg Nosal earned tough-guy points on Saturday, postponing the reattachment of a torn-off tip of his left pinkie to keep playing.

The school says Nosal lost the finger tip when it got caught between two helmets in the first half Saturday against Central Michigan.

That guy definitely loves the game of football. Pretty bad ass.

Was Mike Tyson on the field?

lol.

That guy is a badass. (and kinda stupid)

Yeah. Would make more since if he were a pro.

After losing to James Madison though, he probably wanted to make sure they didn't lose to Central Michigan.

And hey... maybe it will raise his draft stock. I'm sure coaches will take note because that's the type of guy you want on your team.

getting your finger mashed between two helmets sucks. i can't imagine what it would be like losing part of a finger because of that.

Anyone remember the lineman a few years back that chose to have one cut off during the middle of the game so he could keep playing?

fyp.

One football game is not worth losing a body part over.

when a finger is smashed off rather than cut off, it's typically not easily attached and causes more issues than if you'd go without attaching the missing part. I wouldn't say the guy was stupid.

why is that even remotely a given?

They told him they could do it after the game.

If it was now or never, no coach or doctor is letting them stay in the game. Do you honestly believe they would? Against Central Michigan at that?

Come on meow.
