It already was an issue. I personally think they were already considering the move with VD because of the WR corp's development and the injury just pushed them over.

Not unless he grows 4", gains 20 lbs, cuts a tenth or two off his forty, and gets quicker.... and none of that is to say Dallas isn't a pretty good athlete. Pickens was a Pig type of athlete with a 6'4" frame. He could also have a pretty nasty disposition on the field.

So it went from a potential season ending injury to him saying nothing is torn or broken and not being on crutches? :confused:

Has Butch Jones said exactly what the injury is or how long he will be out or is that later at practice?

You seem to be forgetting that Dallas has NO corner experience. This plainly shows we've got problems at cornerback. You don't learn to play corner in 3 weeks. If we see Dallas actually play corner in a game, then it's real trouble.

Not in college, but he was pretty good in H.S., jr/sr year totals: 77 tkls, 8 tfl, 7 ints, and 34 p/d. GBO!

He has practiced off and on at corner since becoming a VOL. These aren't his first practices on the defensive side of the ball.

The thing about cornerback is, if you don't some good, tough kids at the position you will get killed in the SEC, as we got killed last year when teams ran outside on us at will. You can put people at the position, but if they aren't hard-nosed tacklers you get gashed. And, sadly, we have the same issue at LB, too--not nearly enough good players.
