His technique is awful :yuck: He doesn't even know how to take a snap right.

Don't be suprised to see Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow bailing on Tennessee halfway through the season without McNair, telling the front office "We TOLD you to go with Leinart."

He was dropping snaps, dropping back on his heels, turning too wide, showed poor stance, poor throwing mechanic (he still throws like Uncle Rico) and was just generally not good.

Call Pac-10 homer all you want. Vince Young is going to get his a** handed to him in the league.

his technique didnt matter any when he dominated usc.
OH SNAP.
Yeah, he could beat USC. Let's see what happens when he tries to outrun Dwight Freeney.

if anybody is going to be a bust it will be leinart, not young. leinart was surrounded by butt loads of talents that bailed him out at times. not to say young wasnt but i think leinart had more. nobody can save that horrible organization they have in arizona.

arizona has a solid defense and they have fitzgerald boldin and james.

it they dont win 10 games then they should just all quit playing football. kinda like the yankees of the past few years. to much talent not to win.

Anybody who knows how to properly throw a football knows this guy can't

Find me anybody who had Tom Brady penciled in. He wasn't a top 5 draft pick, he wasn't expected to be great.

I realize he works hard, I admire that in him. I also admire his leadership skills.

Favre? Favre isn't an all-time great because of any superb technique or ability, he is an all-timer because he is an ironman.

How many times are people gonna bring up the Harrington thing? For the last time... With the way the Detroit Lions are now, no QB could EVER be successful there. Nobody. Ever. Not Manning, not Aikman, not Young, not Montana, not Namath, not Unitas. Nobody. Detroit sucks too much for anybody there to succeed.

Not to mention picking up Pope from Georgia.

why cant young be an ironman? he has never had an injury through all his football career.

and the tom brady thing was towards the fact that you and a couple others on this board KNOW who will be good and who wont. how do u miss one if u know them all???

I'm pretty sure they drafted Young knowing he'd be a project.
he can be a wonderful player though. look at carson palmer. he sit two years.

if they coach him up right this kid can be explosive and unstoppable.

to me, when he plays he has a game mode where it looks like he cant be stopped.

they'll still find a way to screw it up. their passing game will be mediocre again this year. throw in a rookie quarterback and things will only get worse. true edgarin james is good but he cant carry a whole team, especially the cardinals. they'll win 6 games 7 at best.

I'm pretty sure they drafted Young knowing he'd sell tickets.

Nobody does. No, I don't KNOW that Young will suck. But I'll put my money where my mouth is unless he relearns the quarterback position nearly from the ground up.

Who says Vince Young can start two years? Is Volek even a sure thing to pull down some W's?

Leinart won't start, Warner will.

He's not going to sell tickets on the bench, where they knew he'd be for at least this year. He was drafted for what he can possibly do down the road, not this year.

Warner is past his prime but he can still get it done at an acceptable level. Arizona's pass offense was great, they just lacked a legit running attack and the defense gave away too many big plays, although they were solid otherwise. Warner did fine. If Zona simply jacks up the o-line a bit more, they will be a legit contender for NFL's best offense. Leinart will get some PT, and we all know he came in NFL-ready skill-wise from the way things were run at USC.

Billy Volek has the arm, the mind, and the experience to win games in the NFL.
He is not however, one of those guys who can 'take a team on his shoulders'. Because of that, and because he spent some time injured in each of the last two years, the media mouths doubt him(more accurately they dismiss him).

This is a quality NFL quarterback who was highly sought after just a year ago at this time. He made a decision to stick with Tennessee, and has earned the right to prove he can get the job done.

Also, being a Fresno State guy, he earns the west coast a few more props. :D

No Milo, he's not a sure thing. All the pieces of his developement are in place though. I think he's up to the task.

I dare say Volek is a better passer than McNair, anyway.

PASSER... not player, but passer, yes.

McNair will be gone and Volek wont last, matt mauck will take over as starting QB and Young will endup gettin some starts and will start next year
