As comparisons go, I think the speed thing winds up being pretty much a wash. Vick has once in a generation speed, and while VY is clearly not in that category... he makes up for it with the size to blow through what Vick runs around.
Arm strength I really consider to be equal as well. The deliveries are different, and VY does not have that cannonball that never flies more than four feet from the ground, but the velocity and distance measure about the same I think.
To me, the differences lie in team leadership ability and, for lack of a better word, quarterbacking smarts...
VY has managed, in a very short time, to draw his team so closely around him that any one of them(offense or defense) would take a bullet for the kid.
And he responds by bringing all of them with him when he succeeds. Mike simply does not inspire that kind of devotion from those around him so far as I can see..
As for QB smarts well, I simply think VY already understands what he sees across the field from him better than Vick. The upside for VY on reading and beating opposing defenses is huge, whereas I'm honestly not sure Vick can do any better than he is already...
