Thanks for the info. Wish it was better news.

Kiffinator, the self proclaimed insider at one point said UConn led for Harris. He has no idea what is happening in his recruitment. Save yourself some time and just read zagsblog yourself and you too can be an "insider".

When did I say they did?

But see the Vander Blue situation. If I was a D1 recruit and I logged onto the message boards of the teams I was considering, I'd be disgusted by what I saw here - because of you.

You are also a major downer for the fans. Your negative comments aren't going to get Pearl fired so why continually bash him when he may be our coach for many years to come? Everyone knows you don't like him but you can't argue with success.

I understand Hatvol is god here and everyone will rally around him - but why does everyone adopt his negativity? How negative were you guys when we were losing? It must have been suicidal around here.

I think Hatvol is the best inside source we have. If these two we are after both go elsewhere, where do we go from there? I would like Hatvols thoughts.

I don't think there is a discernable backup plan right now. The other bigs they've been involved with have either committed elsewhere or eliminated Tennessee. If they whiff on Harris and Pinkston, I'm sure they'll regroup and evaluate the leftovers that will be available in the spring.

Miller seems to be a spot shooter who isn't very good at shooting. He can not attack or create. Maybe he works hard, but I think Hopson is clearly superior. Hopefully, he'll prove it this year.

No offense, but did you happen to watch either of the games UT played against us last year? or any other UK game? If so..... I'm not sure exactly what it was you were watching. The last half of the season Miller made his way to the lane at will. Just because he didn't post crazy numbers does not mean he was not effective. Under Gillispie and the "one turnover and your done" system for freshman, there was little chance to produce.

You should see the difference this season.

Hopson does have the ultimate potential, I won't dispute that.

Thanks for the info Hatvol. I was afraid that was where we would be. It seems that we are putting all plans into getting at least one of these players. If we have to take leftovers, we will not have the type recruiting class we need with all the folks we are losing.

I don't really have a problem with that. If you only have a realistic shot at two players who can make a significant impact, focus on them and see what happens. I don't believe in signing guys that you have to hope develop into players. The only danger in the approach they are taking is that if you misjudge your position with Harris or Pinkston, you've wasted an entire signing period chasing a pipe dream.

Me neither. "Projects" are not something you have on a team that has elite expectations.

I'd like to know how me acting like Pearl neglecting his job during one of the most important parts of the recruiting calender is all sunshine and unicorns would help UT in any way.

Poor hat, you are right, Bruce Pearl is a terrible recruiter and his gold medal he got with his son in Israel is going to doom TN basketball...
