As an opposing fan, I am supposed to think all of this that happened with the UT program is funny or humorous. I just want to say it’s not funny. I can put myself in your shoes and it would suck bad.

BUT one thing that can make all this stuff go away is hiring the right coach, and that guy in my opinion is Lane Kiffin. Kiffin has learned a lot since his last stint at UT, and has an edge to him that will drive opposing teams crazy.

The other candidates I have seen mentioned might turn out just fine (minus Tee Martin, he’ll be learning in the job - Bad idea), but they won’t bring instant swag back to the program like Kiffin would. From my point of view, he is the only candidate that makes all of this mess go away and the positive vibes start flowing again (Winning the east!! Feels like 98!! Etc) fast.

Go get him Vols. GBO!!

I just want a coach that has the potential to make you hate us again instead of feeling sorry for us. At this point, I believe Kiffin is our best shot at doing that and making our game a real rivalry again.

Great post and agreed. Damn I miss the Spurrier and Fulmer days where we could get so mad and hate each other and the games meant something lol. Ah, the good ole days

I personally love kiffin. He said from the jump he’d only leave for USC, and has since admitted it was a bad decision. Bring him back.

Hah.. for me the Tennessee program is like a brother. You NEVER want them to beat you in ANYTHING, But, you don’t want anything too bad to happen to them either.

Contrast that with FSU or Alabama - I want those guys to go on probation indefinitely and never win another game!

Nice to meet you ALGator, I think you have a point here. I think Mullen for Florida is going to kill it in recruiting there. If we get Kiffin, then it is going to be a war again. :good!:

kiffin is such a dick he might turn it down just to say he turned it down

He’d know at that point he just put em in serious bind and he’s the one that put that last nail in

He should and probably would take it tho I would think but wouldn’t put anything passed him

That is now my view right now as well...He would breath fresh life into this program again...A lot of the fans are ready or have already forgiven him for last time as have I and the rest would follow suit when he started winning again which he would.

Good post. Congrats to you guys for getting Mullen. I think he will do much better at Florida than he would have at Tennessee. I think the SEC as a whole will be better if Florida and Tennessee are great again. Obviously we have a much longer and tougher road to get there but hopefully we will.

I could see it because Kiffin is the splash hire that could kick start recruiting. If UT can get him, all this negative crap will be forgotten in short order, and we all can get back to football.

This dude is Trolling you. He would love for UT to hire Lame kiffen, see half his recruits not qualify academically, or be kicked off the team by the AD for their criminal behavior.
