Uh, that was awful. Saban may want to reconsider letting his coordinators talk to the media so they at least sound intelligent. He was reading that obviously, and is much better off the cuff and just talking football. As bad as that was, it was just as refreshing hearing his presser. No cliches, all football.

I agree. I like him a lot more unscripted.

Let his intelligence show on the sidelines. Shouldn't matter what he says in a press conference

I did watch Chad Morris talk to Arkansas and I think I would have just walked out. Lol

Agreed. Very happy we didn’t hire him. I thought that was a dumb way to start his introduction by telling his team to sit up straight before he even said anything about his excitement about being there or shared anything to earn their respect. I felt like the guys were rolling their eyes.

Early Butch was starry eyed and liked to be in the limelight. Pruitt in that dreaded bank commercial will probably be about as comfortable as that alumni thing. Our new guy is obviously a coach and not a car salesman--he has hit the ground running with recruiting and hiring some really good staff so far.

I thought he did good in the team meeting. Team was obviously down from losing their coach. I think asking the team to sit up was no big deal.

I do recall him mentioning in his press conference that he had met with the team. CJP said the players were taking notes and were on the edges of their seats and when he saw that, he knew that he had them.

This may be regarded as a private matter between himself and the team and not available for publication. If that is the case, I can respect that.
