Vibe from the playcalling?

I'd imagine the play calling was mostly scripted, or looking for specific actions and corrections. Like, "we're gonna run Z-43-out at least five times today" and "hey, call that play again in a minute, I want to see something" or "call a couple of run plays to the left side of the line, the defense needs to make an adjustment."

So not a very good indicator of what play calling might look like in a real game. I wouldn't try for any take-aways.

We know why the playbook was basic and limited. Sometime last week CLS said 50-60% of the 'O' has been installed.

I find it funny that so many believe that because we have a new o-coordinator that all of a sudden we will be running the wing T. It's called continuity and it's not "Butch's offense". A large portion of teams run the same. 🙄

What's the damage report on that Walk-on RB? Didn't look good!

Sounds like he had a chance to get some playing time this season too.

The one thing I noticed was that when Dormandy was in the game, the D keyed in on the RB every single time. Not saying Dormandy is slow or can't run, just noticed that on every read they ignored him and went fullout after the RB.

Now this could be because they knew they couldn't hit the QB in this game or maybe the coaches just never have Dormandy keep it in practice so they knew he wouldn't keep it during the game or Drmandy is just bad at selling the fake. But i don't think it was the first cause when JG was in they had at least someone on him everytime.

Sadly JG was too slow on his releases and seem very hesitant in his throws.

Dormandy didn't show up yesterday...or ever.

Wheel route to TE. More running between tackles.

Under passing concept.

Did they do an even mix of man blocking and zone blocking, as before? Last year I remember the outside zone being a big emphasis for Kamara in particular. I don't suppose they called the QB counter plays for any QB, since it was a scrimmage.

So many balls dropping from the sky they gonna be like chicken littles. While we wearing them out chasing ufo's it's going to open up the running lanes on the ground. Pick your poison.

More between the tackles running, involving the TE's more, more quick-short to intermediate throws, less screens. Pretty vanilla but effective. That's the vibe I got. Just like others said tho it's just a spring game and is probably pretty scripted and basic

When qbs are 1 hand touch, do you think they will keep very often? Do you think the d will think he will?

Not so much about play calling, but yards after catch is gonna go up this season with Dormady or Guarantano playing qb. Unlike Dobbs both demonstrate the consistent ability to hit the receiver in stride so he can make a play with the ball and get yards after the catch.
