Good to see all the Orange and Power T's at Augusta National today. Well represented.. been a while since I heard, and said, "Go Vols" so much at a non UT event.

GBO.

Was at Pebble Beach for AT&T Pro-Am. Lots of orange and white there as well. Granted Peyton and Rick Lamb were both playing. Enjoy Augusta.. greatest week in sports.

I'm from Augusta and have been a couple times. If you are from the area, there's going to be someone you know who has tickets. Not bragging, but just wanted to chime in. I'm not a golf fan in the least, but it is one of the coolest experiences I've had. They are incredibly strict on people bringing in phones and other electronic devices thurs-sunday, and because of that, no one is attached to a screen. It's like going back in time.

I saw them around the 10th tee about 10:00 am Monday. Looked as if they were having a good time.

We had the option of taking our cell phones back to the car, or they would keep them in a safe place. We chose to leave them in the car. However, you can take a camera in Monday-Wednesday if it does not tape .

My son, now 45, caddied at the National for years, working weekends when the members could actually play. For that he got his tournament badge and one round a year. Now he takes $4500 for one-week rental of his house in North Augusta, SC, and goes on vacation. The pic is him and Seve.

And I thought the pic of me in front of Rae's Creek around 13 green was historic...that pic of Seve and your son is a keeper and on Hogan's Bridge...I'm sure he knows what an incredible blessing that is to be involved with the Masters....I Have causal friends both husband and wife who have worked at the Masters for many years. She in player hospitality and he's a marshal. He ask me years ago if I would be interested in working there during the tournament and he would submit may name...I said "Heck yeah, I clean toilets" for the right to play a practice round after the tournament...Haven't heard a word in 10 years now...still have to pay my own way and eat pimento cheese sandwiches all day (delicious) and cheap..

My sister lives a mile from the course. Their house is rented for a crazy amount and they headed to the beach. There's actually a player renting the house across the street from theirs.

Now this is a "Cool Story, Bro!" :good!:

Back in 2000/ 2001 I caddied at the Ocean Course at Kiawah. Caddied in several pro-ams. Met a lot of pros & celebs.

Yes, a LOT of people rent out their houses during this week, and every school from kindergarten to colleges has spring break during Masters week. So a good percentage of locals just get out of town.

a buddy of mine lived in Augusta at one point. He said the rule of thumb is NEVER rent your house to Sergio. It will be destroyed
