I believe if we get the the half yard line with a first down we will line up and ram it in no more passing and stupid Butch crap and that will be a relief to see after all the bad decisions that we've had to endure with Butch on the field coaching.

Im a wait and see guy, but it's hard to argue that there isn't a fundamental difference in Pruitt and Butch. Substance versus gimmick.

Not to mention the credibility of saying, "I just coached in the last two NC games, and here's what it takes."

You'll only know if it is substance versus gimmick if he starts winning games that Butch couldn't.

If the best he can do is what Butch did, or worse, we'll all be saying he just rode on the coattails of other coaches and want to kick him to the curb.

Like the fact we have a Southern fried coach. This year's spring game will be a helluva departure from the ones under Botch, straight up scrimmage, no crazy point system, stopping play for a stupid drill , no chart and no gimmicks or cliches.

Thank you for posting this. Excellent example of technical knowledge, coaching, teaching, motivating and challenging. Pruitt is definitely earning my respect.........as are these players!
Yea, no problem. I have had great faith from day one, and I know I’ve been repeating myself a lot about Smart can’t beat Pruitt, but this wasn’t no surprise to me that he was going to be a great coach. I still believe it, and I still think that way. I think Pruitt will out coach Smart, Mullen, and others. Defense will lead the way, and our offense will be able to score. Just a feeling that I’ve got, that this is going to happen this year. I’ll say this, Smart better beat Pruitt this year, because if he doesn’t, then the recruiting classes that he gets in 2019 will even be stronger defensively and offensively. :pardon:

Not great seeing us struggling with fundamentals, but I like the quotes I heard from VolQuest after the first few practices. Jesse S said something along the lines of, “the tempo of the practices seems to be higher than last year. They split up the team so that everybody is constantly doing something instead of waiting around for their rep.”

All I can predict is that we'll compete. Fewer lateral passes for a loss of yardage. Perhaps out tight ends being a serious threat and devastating blockers. More time for our QB to make plays and - most importantly - our offense keeping our defense off the field a reasonable amount to rest. More Football - Less Drama!

How about not trying to run 3 offense plays in 15 seconds and then punt

Like the fact we have a Southern fried coach.

All that matters is, does he win?

If he doesn’t win way more than he loses, that “I love that he’s southern fried” sentiment will quickly turn into “get rid of this ignorant, slow-talking redneck bozo!”

When did redneck become an insult?
