Allow me to be the first this year in creating a thread dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces that continue to provide safety and security to us all. A heartfelt thank you for your service and commitment to insuring our liberties as Americans are safe and secure.

A special thank you to those members of the,

10th Mountain Division 2-22 C Co. RECON

and the sailors aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.

Two of my best friends/brothers proudly served and returned home safely.

Thoughts and prayers to those that were less fortunate.

Early I know, but these folks deserve far more than just one day a year.

Quick edit to include my late father's patch: 4th Army 1963-1968

Thanks and Gig em'

A special shout out to Delta company for the effort they put in last night keeping the terrorists from capturing our flags.

By all means Vets, please tell us what branch you were in and your service record. I kinda intended on hearing from you guys and getting to know and thank those of you that post here.

Alpha, Bravo and Charlie squads are usually full. So I normally go to Delta by default. Usually I just follow Rocky, though.

the 7th group was part of X Corps, IIRC, and was based in Germany. Wolfburgers are little mobile burger stands that were designed for field operations. Since they were part of the logistics train of 22nd Support Command, the patch became known as "the Wolfburger patch".

They were all over Saudi Arabia, every logistics base had at least one Wolfburger wagon on the scene.
