I'm always interested in finding out why people from far away are fans. Is it family related or what?? I assume you are younger due to the reference to college.

I know how you feel, I was living in Alaska for four years with no Vol fans to be found. But I still proudly showed my love for the orange and white. GO BIG ORANGE

lol Well when i really get into college football till i was 12. The first game I watched was the tennessee vols. The crowds passion for the team and the tradition amazed. Also I fell in love with that bright orange. Ever since I've been hooked. Now im jealous of my cousin cuz she is over there now tailgating and gettin ready to watch the game Live. But ill still support my vols!!!!

i am from Connecticut, and there is really no NCAA FB presence here whatsoever.....i went in the Army in 1996, and instantly made friends with multiple people from the south, and all they talked about was the SEC....Bama, UGA, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas....UT was not represented, so i began to pull for them to be a thorn in everyones side....10 years later here i am, bleeding Orange in UConn territory...GO VOLS!

I will bring a handheld tv to UF tailgates whenever the Vols are on this year.

Same here, I'm bleeding Orange in Connecticut, the only coverage we get here other than CBS, is the Big-East and the Big-Ten. I'll be in Tennessee for the Florida, Marshall, Vandy, and Kentucky games, but in the mean time it's Sirius, ESPN Gameplan, and internet radio.

I hear ya. I haven't met another Vol fan out here at the base in Djibouti. I know they have to be out here, but non are sporting the orange like I do.

Course, most of the time we have to wear our uniforms, so it's not like there's a lot of opportunity.
