Very pleased with 22

I hope it's closer to #15 than #25. The later was what I predicted a few months back before it looked like CBJ had a chance for Bell. This late activity gives us hope for better.

QB-Dobbs
WR-Boyd
DL-Miller
DL-Brown
LB-Levenberry
DB-Bell

I know you don't normally close this well, but I think this is VERY possible and what I am hoping for.

Don't worry about rankings worry about needs.

If we close with a good LB, a couple good DL, a good DB and any of Dobbs, Ford or Boyd this will be a very good class.

Our defense being as abysmal as it was last year, I think we need Bell and Levenberry. Along with Carr, that's 3 blue chippers that improves each line of defense. Would love to get a Trey Johnson surprise as well. The Miller's and Bellamy's would provide good depth on the D-line and allow us to go after next years big fish on the D-line.

I agree with that. Levenberry and/or Trey Johnson is my clear cut #2 behind Bell.

Posted this in another thread:

I've always said I'm expecting 20-25 commits...

Gets:
Vonn Bell
Jaylen Miller
Josh Dobbs
Malik Brown
and 1 of Trey Johnson, Rudy Ford, EJ Levenberry, Davin Bellamy, and Tyler Boyd

With a late addition of DJ Jones if he qualifies which will be well after NSD

That would put us at 24 commits and a top 15 class IMO.

I agree, Bruin.

I think we land Bell, Levenberry, Miller and Dobbs. I'd be a little surprised if we don't land Brown too but he seems to be struggling with his decision so maybe he sticks with Cuse.

My surprise pick is Bellamy. I just have a feeling he might be selecting UT tomorrow, I'm probably wrong there as it's mostly just hope since we need another DE :)

And there seems to be some momentum with Boyd but I'm not going against family pressure with my picks.

Think we get Bell and Levenberry for sure. Not sure about Boyd and Dobbs, Ford a definite no. Bellamy would sweet but he seems Georgia bound. Heard only way we get him is if Chip Kelly hires him as DC in Philly. Hope bUTch and the boys have a surprise or 2.

I really would have liked to sign Ford. Hope he changes his mind by tomorrow. Having him would really solidify this class

Agree on Ford but I don't think it's gonna happen. Bet on him going to auburn for some stupid reason. As much as I'd like an rb this class, bUTch and CJG need to get to Hendersonville and set up shop at Beech HS to make sure they land Jalen Hurd next year. CANNOT let this kid go anywhere else. If you told me we don't get an rb this class but we get Hurd in '14 class I'd sign up for that as fast as humanly ( or otherworldly ) possible!!!

Bell wouldn't bump us more than that??

Yeah cause Bells a 5 star. We should move up considerably just with him alone. Especially since to this point there are only 11 5 stars signed in the SEC.... Of course 5 of those are headed to Bama

We got a RB commit last night, so there is one in this class. Would still like Ford though.

Per Rivals, Bama currently has 3 5-star commits. USC has 5 (though 1 or more are expected to flip by tomorrow)

I am concerned about four recruits mainly because I think they will begin the momentum turning for our recruiting program.

In this order of importance: Bell, Levenberry, Ford and Bellamy.

If we land all four of these young men, the momentum we will have built will carry through to the next class. If we whiff on all four of these, it is going to be a long climb back up the ladder.

This might be a question for LWS, but how frequently have we either flipped or signed 4-5 previously uncommitted recruits on National Signing Day?

My prediction is on many threads for months. I still see no reason to change it. I will be glad to be wrong. But I say 18-22 and 8 in the SEC.
