Wow! Just wow, IMO many of his detractors here on VN owe this young man a very serious apology.

I never said anything bad about JJ but don't totally agree here.

The article explains how competitive he is but in no way justified his reaction. His own father said he has tried to teach him to handle his frustrations differently. His dad seemed in complete disagreement with JJ's reaction.

We also learned that he didn't play against Vandy because they didn't want to ruin his medical redshirt, not because of some 'out to get him' theory.
I want nothing but the best for him and am not mad at him at all but nothing in the story suggests he handled things appropriately.

I don’t know if I fall into the “detractor” or supporter category. I fully backed Hoke for kicking him off the team for showing his azz, but I also fully supported him getting a second chance. Ruling please.
I'm a bit in the same camp here Butchna, sort of a case of mixed emotions going back to when the stuff was hitting the fan. But I am fully behind Pruitt's decision (with Fulmer's backing) to give him another chance. Let's see if indeed he has matured enough to take advantage of this new lease on life...

I stood stone-like at midnight, suspended in my masquerade
I combed my hair till it was just right and commanded the night brigade
I was open to pain and crossed by the rain and I walked on a crooked crutch
I strolled all alone through a fallout zone and come out with my soul untouched
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, but when they said, "Sit down, " I stood up
Ooh...growin' up
The flag of piracy flew from my mast, my sails were set wing to wing
I had a jukebox graduate for first mate, she couldn't sail but she sure could sing
I pushed b-52 and bombed them with the blues with my gear set stubborn on standing
I broke all the rules, strafed my old high school, never once gave thought to landing
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, but when they said, "Come down, " I threw up
Ooh...growin' up
I took month-long vacations in the stratosphere, and you know it's really hard to hold your breath
I swear I lost everything I ever loved or feared, I was the cosmic kid in full costume dress
Well, my feet they finally took root in the earth, but I got me a nice little place in the stars
And I swear I found the key to the universe in the engine of an old parked car
I hid in the mother breast of the crowd, but when they said, "Pull down, " I pulled up
Ooh...growin' up
Ooh...growin' up

I'm a whole-person concept type of guy, giving JJ an opportunity to redeem himself is the right thing to do.

But as George Bush said “There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”
