These morons are dogging the Vols at every opportunity. It's really pathetic. I thought Gary was going to have an O when he saw that the gators won.

I know. Why aren't they gushing praise constsntly for such an incredible performance put on by the Vols today?

I turn the sound to mute. Only unmute when the Ref is 'splainin' a call or replay.

Those two really suck.

CBS has been good to Tennessee this year. I listen to them and they are not nowhere near like you make them out to be.

Only thing that stood out to me with them today was that Verne was like the drunk Uncle at the dinner table telling these stupid stories nobody cared to hear and just kept rambling on and on.

I'm not a fan of Verne and Gary, but man, you got really thin skin.

I didn't hear a single thing from them that I thought was hostile or dismissive of the Vols. Not the brightest game calling duo in the history of football, but not anti-Tennessee in any way tonight. (other times yes, but not tonight).

They are professional s#$%birds and the Vols have been one of their favorite targets for years... they do give it to other teams too... ask a Dawgs fan what they think of Verne and Gary!

I'm not normally thin skinned but Gary's smirky laugh in the background that continued for a good 10 seconds after the news broke about Florida winning really sandpapered my azz. Anything else they said after that just pissed me off.

Not like we are not targets for under performing on expectations this year. Winning ugly in some cases and then getting beat by a team with a losing record at the time was the killer.

That Gary dude never shuts up. It is like a gnat getting in my ear or nose. Just dang annoying when all I'm trying to do is fish. Why does he have to talk about every little minute thing????!!!! Just let me enjoy the game. Be a condiment, not a side dish, dammit.

It took a while, but the moment i totally stopped taking those two seriously was the A&M game this year...

I remember Gary having a mental breakdown when the refs didn't call targetting on the Ole Miss player for the sack on Jalen Hurts.

Just a few games later, A&M kicks off to Tennessee and Evan Berry goes for the return. The A&M player (#12 I believe, clearly on some sort of PED) tackles Berry with the crown of his helmet in Berry's facemask. I believe he suffers a concussion on the play, and all Gary can do is praise the A&M player for laying down such a crushing blow. Same game, Warrior lays hit on #12 and gets ejected for targetting almost immediately.

Can't do anything but laugh after that.

True, but a lot of those expectations come from that same media overhyping us. Then when we don't live up, they are so quick to turn. To your point though, I'll agree a lot of it is deserved as many of those expectations are realistic. No doubt we give them lots of ammo
