Vegas wants action on both sides to guarantee winnings from their end. That’s why the lines move up depending on where theVegas is all about making $, period. They intentionally make betting lines to work in their favor. Vegas could care less who wins this game.
I think the spread will come down to defense/special teams. If Tennessee can force multiple turnovers and get great field position from special teams, they certainly have the firepower to score 50-60 points. But if they score that many they have to pitch a shutout defensively to cover the -48.5.Vols will run themost of the time. Furman will see a large dose of tailback from the Big Orange. Tennessee will cover the spread.
