I said earlier before the season started that I was worried about our ability to vary tempo in situational moments. Man, Heupel really calmed my nerves these past 3 weeks. While this offense is most effective when they have a Rhythm, they are able to slow down and pick apart the defense and give more time for our defense to get some rest. The depth at defense has visibly improved greatly as well. The team is looking very well rounded. I’m excited to see what we can do this weekend!

I to was happy to see us slow the play down on crucial third (as crucial as can be in a blowout) downs and make sure we got the correct play.

As much as defenses can anticipate our snap since we're going to as soon as we can, it's potentially just as unexpected for them if we set for 3 or more seconds instead of snapping after 1 second.

I'm elated to see the Vol Defense blitzing, stunting and giving our opponents different looks. We've been sooooo vanilla on D for sooooo many years that I actually enjoy watching our D play. Congrats to the coaching staff for coaching up our players but, also launching psychological warfare at our foes. Well done indeed!! And most importantly, we are not allowing the other teams offense to establish tempo - our D is dictating it.
