Gotta check Galvan too. Need to contain Washington and Mitchell in the paint. Then there is Pissott.
It will require an across the board, team effort. We have until the last game of the regular season to sharpen our swords. There may be bumps along the way.

For the present, it appears that Vandy has overtaken the Vols in both football and basketball. Vandy has also overtaken the Lady Vols. I hope this is just a temporary thing.

Overtaken? You can’t be serious. Not even for the present. Did Vanderbilt even make it out of the 1st Round of the NCAA tourney last season? Tennessee advance to the Sweet 16 and beat UConn in the regular season with a 1st year head coach.
People around here are treating two regular season game wins with one of them came by a point as trophies lol smh. It would take the Tennessee Lady Vols completely collapsing and falling off the map while Vandy competed for 10-20 years for National Championships before they are even on the same level.

Main thing you need to do is take it at them aggressively. If you get them in a little foul trouble they are in trouble quickly. They aren’t a deep team, especially in the post.

Trust me, most of the people including the proclaimed UT fans putting Vandy on a pedestal now won’t be posting in late January- February.
Tennessee will beat Vandy by double digits.
If that team is relying on Pissott to guard Barker, Spearman, and Latham then it could be a 15-20 point blowout. Tennessee has 5 players that can guard that 5’3 PG. See who all guarded Timmons from Alabama who is 5x the player… all this stuff that looks good on paper for that team is about to get erased quickly starting with South Carolina.
And yes, they deserve credit for the good start but these fans and internet front runners getting too disrespectful with hype.
Several teams have started out like this before and folded when it got tough. That’s just facts.

Watched the game Candyland vs Michigan yesterday. Pissot made four threes in the first and Michigan couldn't make anything even a layup. Second half was totally reversed with Michigan dominating the game. The game actually came down to their freshman point guard Galvan throwing a 30 footer over her shoulder with one second on the shot clock that went in.

My gameplan for them would be to pressure Galvan the entire game with Boyd and Mia Pauldo. If they beat us on the boards with that weak post group we should be ashamed of ourselves after the game. No reason for us not to own the boards and score inside. Game will probably come down as to how good a job we do on Blakes and the pressure we are able to apply on their point. I expect it to be a rather close game. If we shoot well enough and rebound like we should against them I see us winning that game.

I will say that Vandy is a very good team. They are a tough team to beat. I still believe they have four to six SEC losses coming.

I totally agree with this, which makes the game depending on refs calls. If they are calling Nik-pic fouls then you have to back off that helps Vandy especially we are deeper and can stay aggressive but if they shoot 20+ foul shots it defeats the purpose.
I just watched the last 8 minutes of Vandy v MU and Michigan outscored them while I was watching Blakes had 2 turnover and scored just once during that time. She must have did all her scoring early, she looked very normal the part I watched but I have saw games where she shined.
