So everyone claims talent and youth is the issue, yet Vandy had around 200 yards rushing, more offensive production, and scored more points on Georgia than we did. Does that mean Vandy has more talent than us? If they had a proven QB they would have won that game imo. Im not trying to bash our staff as some of the other people on here, cause im going to give Dooley time to get another good class together, but I will admit Vandy looked much more well prepared for their game against Georgia than we did last week.

Just to play devil's advocate, its possible that Georgia played us harder than they did Vandy. People still register us as a threat while they tend to overlook Wimpybuilt.

Vandy is improved but let's be honest. Their position on the schedule after us and before an off week going into Florida made them a classic trap game.

take away vandy's two best players on D, and their best player on O, and how well would they have done?

Its possible, but I dont believe in just overlooking any team. It happens, but with Richt on the hot seat, I doubt he's overlooking anybody.

The excuses for Dooley will never end, Vandy was a tougher game for Georgia. Plain and Simple.

I know one thing's for sure, we have the most brutal stretch of games in October than any other team in the SEC. And if we're somehow able to pull off the upset against South Carolina with Simms at the helm, Dooley deserves alot of respect from our fanbase. 7-5, plus a bowl win to make us 8-5 on the season would be a great way to close out this year. Help out in recruiting too imo. Always good to end in a positive light.

If you really think about it, the only difference between the two games is that when UGA couldn't run out the clock and had to punt with 20 seconds to go, Vandy blocked the punt and we didn't.

This is true

So Dooley should be fired. Obviously, when Vandy does something and UT doesn't, it's time for a change.

End of sarcasm.

Yeah, I think you're right. We should be able to compete with Vandy this year.

i think vandy's got the clear edge in coaching. i hate to think what would happen if franklin had the vol's talent and we had vandy's.

Tenn: -20 yards rushing

Vandy: 200 yards rushing

Yeah, we put up the same fight.

Let me clarify, im not calling for Dooley's head by no means. All im saying is that Vandy played a pretty good against Georgia tonight, and overall looked more prepared. They struggled defensively, but made a big play when they had to. For us, it seems like as soon as a big play occurs, we lose all urge to fight back. We're a good first half team, but a terrible 2nd half team. Just hope this changes next year.

And one other thing . . . I just sat here and watched the entire UGA/Vandy game. UGA looked better on offense than they did at any point against us. This was purely a case of UGA getting up by two scores with a long way to go and not being able to put a team away . . . just like they did against Ole Miss, Miss State and even us to some degree.

Been watching Vandy play some this year, they look like they have improved on both sides of the ball. The only thing that has improved for us was the passing game (until our recent injuries), in every other aspect of the game we have taken a huge step backward.

I still don't get why some feel we are headed in the right direction and have a prayer of competing in the SEC in the next few years. I'm not blaming CDD but a spade must be called a spade, we are horrid!

What's up after the game the Georgia D-cord. and Vandy coach were jawing at each other? Did the Georgia D-cord. get mad because Vandy tried to win? I know a week or so ago the Vandy coach was in Georgia in a Helicopter like Kiffin was.

Dooley is now 0-10 when trailing at the half, and there are no signs of improvement as a 2nd half team.
