The Tennessean released Vandy's single game ticket prices today and the UT game will cost $15 more per ticket than any other game this year. They are either trying to use the UT game to turn a profit or they actually think they can keep UT fans from buying the tickets by making them more expensive.

Same Ol Vandy. Joan Cronan had the best response to Vandy several years ago. When Vandy called her office to complain about Michelle Snow dunking, she replied that something had to be done to make it worth the price of the ticket.

For the posters asking if I've been around football or if I understand economics, SHUT UP!

I understand that schools make the most important games more expensive so they can make money. The reason I posted this is because Vandy and Franklin made a big deal about having their fans fill Vandy's stadium. Well the price of those tickets do not lead someone to believe that it will be Vandy fans buying the tickets. The price of the tickets is so high because deep down Vandy knows that no matter how much hype they build up around their program that when it comes to football in the state of TN, UT fans rule! So what better way for them to make money then charge as much as possible for the tickets.

They aren't trying to keep UT fans from buying tix. They want us to buy tix and they increase the price because it will be the most crowded game of the year for them. They never sell enough tix to their fans for any other game. The UT fans will give them the closest thing to a sellout they will ever see.
