Do you want to take a chance on an assistant who has spent the last decade+ learning at the most dominant dynasty in the history of the game who was also generally considered to be the successor to the most dominant coach in the history of the game, or do you want to hire a retread who has already proven she can't recruit/sustain a power 5 program?

Could this become the type of rivalry that reminds people of the great Pat/Geno days? Time will tell.

It could be an instant rivalry as both programs want to prove their way is the better way. I have added Vandy to the schools I am following closely to see if Shea can pull it off. She should have the edge that slowed Kellie down - relationships with top 25 players in the 22, 23, and 24 classes. It won't take long to see if Shea can cash in on the Geno Jr. approach.
