I was just about to start this thread myself. I was basically shrugging Vandy off. I guess things are changing.

Who cares what they do? They can't consistently get the best talent in there. It's kinda hard to get in there last time I checked.

It may not happen this week, but within the next couple of weeks, I expect Vanderbilt to land some very good recruits within the state of Tennessee.

There could be three of four kids in Tennessee that are ready to commit at the same time and all to Vanderbilt. This isn't a done deal but it is a very real possibility.

Vandy already has 7 of its 8 commitments out of the state of Georgia. By the end of July, don't be surprised if the Dores have 5 or more highly rated in-state kids as well.

James Franklin is killing it right now.

While I don't expect Vandy to be a powerhouse anytime soon, this argument is losing relevance. Stanford is equally as difficult to get into as Vanderbilt, and they are doing fine.

If Franklin is the real deal and can walk the walk, he'll be gone before any of these kids reach their senior year.

Laugh all you want, he is at least proving he can recruit. Now we just have to see if he can actually coach.
