Anybody else think we should just run the ball every time? Or should we run the G-Gun on every play?

From sitting in Neyland today, I can't imagine that Gerald is any worse than the other two knuckleheads.

it seems like the g-gun formation has dropped off the face of the earth. i haven't seen it for a good month or so.

Yes I do think all we should do is run the ball if Crompton is in the game. He can't even complete more than 1 out of 3 screen passes. It's sad, but he looks like a high schooler in the NFL out there.

Of course we can already see what would happen if we were in the game at the end thanks to the run. Fulmer would abandon it after solid performance from the RB and call 9 straight incomplete pass plays to lose us the game.

I could care less what we do in the next 2 games...might as well put all the freshman out their and see what they got. This season's been over for a while.

The "G-gun" is a gimmick offense. You know it, I know it, and both Vandy and UK know it. It's not an improvement over our regular offense, which is the same as saying it don't work.

What we do against Vandy and UK is of no consequence. 5-7 and 3-9 are not that far apart when you've already lost a home game to Wyoming.

At this point, it's all about the future, which this coaching staff will have no part of. Thank goodness.

Play the schedule out. Run whatever you want. Just get it over with.

Go Vols.

Yeah why not? But we all know that won't happen. We might actually pull out a victory!!!!!

My point is the lack of INT (scores for the other team that the defense doesn't get a chance to prevent) if we don't throw it.

Your point about the season being over so run whatever you want is taken though.

I think We should just PUNT every possession...At least it gives our team a chance to score when the defense makes a big play..INT return etc...Yes, lets give Colquitt a workout and punt..Might work by golly

I heard that option being mentioned in the crowd also. :birgits_giggle:

Here is what we should do for the Vandy and Kentuck Games:

1) If Possible, FORFEIT both of these games

If not possible to forfeit the games, Practice everyone on Defense only so that we can have more players so they won't tire out from being on the field so much

2) Play 2nd and 3rd string only--1st string should be benched
3) Play BJ coleman only--Pick and Crapton have had their chance
4) If we get to 3rd down on Offense do a quick kick everytime to catch them by surprise
5) Take a knee on offense every play
