Battle of the worst teams in the SEC. Currently 7-7 late in the 1st. Arkansas is worse than candy but hoping for a Razorback win

They’re both better than Tennessee. Vanderbilt definitely has more athletes than Tennessee, not even close. They’ll be favored next month and they should be

KB I normally agree with most of your posts. This one I will have to respectfully disagree. Vandy has nowhere near the athletes we have. They are simply a product of having a stable coaching environment

You think either one of them would beat Auburn? Arkansas has already lost to them

Obviously, i think either of them beats Tennessee. Arky was giving Bama a game in the first half....they weren’t getting punked 28-0 going into the 2nd quarter.....there, did I do that right?

No, this is not true. I'm certainly not chalking up Vandy as an easy win by any stretch of the imagination, but I think you would be hard pressed to find any sports commentator who would say Vandy has more athletes than TN.

And I’ll have to respectfully disagree right back. Vaughn, Blasingame, Lipscomb, etc, etc. They’re gonna bust several explosive plays on us and their front 7 will handle our pathetic, below average talent wise OL imo. Vandy badly “out-athleted” us each of the last 2 seasons and I think this is Mason’s most athletic team since he’s been here. Jmo, but it’s gonna take at least 1 more legit recruiting class, maybe even 2 to get our roster better than even Vandy’s.

I don’t care what “any commentator” says. I saw it each of the last 2 years and I believe I see it again this year. We’ll see.

And our receivers and RB’s will make explosive plays on Vandy all day. I think you are having some battered Vol syndrome

You forgot to mention Arkansas also lost to North Texas 44-17, a 3-6 Colorado State, and a really bad Ole Miss team

Oh, I’ve definitely got it. Fully aware and fully agree. However, I think plenty of guys are forgetting just how bad and generally slow our roster is. I think Pruitt is doing a really good job coaching these guys up. But let’s not forget just how awful this roster is. I could take it position by position, but there’s no need. We have a handful of SEC players in spots, but nowhere near enough, even in the starting 22....and depth is virtually non existent.

I think WR may be our best position, but we’re even limited there due to a lack of speed....when Josh Palmer is your “burner” and the only guy who can stretch the field, it’s not good. Chandler has game-breaking potential because of his speed, but where does he rank in terms of current SEC running backs? Top 12-15 Maybe? We have OL no talent without Smith, we’re extremely limited with regards to DL talent, our linebackers are below average with the exception of Bituli and Warrior, who just isn’t very good at all outside of run support, is by far our best safety. We have promising young CBs in Taylor and Thompson, but nobody behind them.

And again, I’ve seen Vandy line up each of the last 2 years and physically dominate and “out athlete” Tennessee. I’m standing behind original comment until further notice.

You know Arkansas is bad when Vandy is favored on the road.

Its the only explanation for the "Every sports commentator is wrong and I'm right" nonsense.
I didn’t say every commentator is wrong, I said I don’t care what they say. And who says every commentator would say Tennessee has more talent anyway, especially given what we saw the last time these two teams played when Vandy physically dominated Tennessee?

Btw, Vandy has the better QB, better running backs, better tight end, better OL than Tennessee. We may have the better overall WR corps, but Lipscomb has as many receptions as Jennings, Callaway and Palmer combined. Not sure about defensively, we may have a slight edge there, although we give up a little but more yardage per play.

LOL

You do realize that 4/5 P5 teams we've played are currently ranked in the top 15?

You can't make a logical case for Arkansas being better than Tennessee considering the fact that Auburn beat Arkansas 34-3 and Tennessee beat Auburn 30-24. You also have Arkansas' embarrassing loss to North Texas St to consider and their loss to Colorado State as well.

Vanderbilt is definitely more debatable but they barely beat Tennessee St. We will just have to wait and see. Speculation doesn't really matter since we do play them.
