High School Quarterback's 'Play Of His Life' Negated Due To Celebration | Fox News

This is actually high school instead of NCAA, but stems from an NCAA rule. This drives me crazy - this kind of crap should not decide games, and football is not for butt hurt pansies that can't handle celebrations - or even taunting as far as I'm concerned. Don't like it? Man up and beat the crap out of your opponent. Rule should be rescinded and everyone responsible for putting it in place should be permanently banned from anything having to do with sports.

Yeah, I'm in a bad mood.

This is an absolutely horrible rule. Why should athletes not be allowed to celebrate when they make a big play? In any other sport this is acceptable.

The rule in itself is not horrible, but that play being called is. And the response from the head of the state's athletics was even more ignorant, "That call did not cost them the game."

If I were that kids dad I'd have knocked that guy out cold the first time I saw him.

Don't like getting a touchdown called back for celebrating, then do not respond by throwing a pick on the next play...

Username should be therealUTroll.

I thought it was pertinent, considering the OP was complaining of vaginifaction of our culture, yet neglected to mention that the kid responded by throwing a pick and losing the game (guess the refs should take responsibility for their call but this kid does not need to shoulder any of it for not bouncing back).

What are you trying to argue?

This is like saying, "If you don't like your draw in the NCAA basketball tournament, don't lose one of your games..."

Yes...and?

Are you in the tournament to try and win the championship or simply to make it to the Sweet 16? If the latter, you do not deserve to be there anyway and have no foundation upon which to gripe about your draw.

Why even seed the teams then? May as well just draw the names out of the hat.

Even if they screwed up the play after the penalty, they never should have had to score again.

A little off topic, but while we're discussing the vaginafication of football...

These guys that round around with their hair hanging halfway down their back...

Are you allowed to grab them by the hair and tackle them? Or is that illegal? I've been wondering this for a while.

Perfectly legal.

David Stern is trying to completely shelter his largely white audience from celebrations/culture of any kind in the NBA with the covering of tattoos, forcing players to wear suit and ties, etc.... and even THEY allow celebrating as long as you don't do it straight into someone's face.
