What I do know is: Miami is the most talented team I have ever seen, by far...while Nebraska was ABSOLUTELY the most dominant team I have ever seen, BY FAR! It's obscene how much talent was on that Miami team, all over the field, at every position and every level. It would be the type of game, going in, everyone would pick 01 Miami to win, only for 95 Nebraska to scorch-earth them, 59-10...the only time it was ever close, maybe, was during team prayer before they ran out onto the field.
The fallacy with looking at all those draft picks on ‘01 Miami is the fact that people are counting up the entire roster (which was impressive).

16 draft picks “on defense” should be a hint. How many play on defense?

I put a pause on automatically thinking endowment's meant a school was financially well-off when Harvard (who has the largest endowment at $53 billion) was not in financially good shape. Their endowment is apparently tied up in a bunch of non-liquid assets along with the normal conditions that donors put on contributions. I guess it does mean that those schools have people willing to contribute, but as you say, the question is what will they contribute to? I believe Vandy's endowment is over $10 billion. That's not getting them anywhere in the NIL space.
Off topic, but there is also the circumstance that Harvard is a big-time Federal-funds grifter and, as rich as they are, are trying to persuade the public that they are poor. 😂 Apologies to all for following that thought to where it led.

Go Vols! 🍊 Savion Hiter would be great at Tennessee!

Sweeney doesn’t “look” like she’s got much between the ears?
I had to go to a mall the other day (don’t ask) and the most prominent thing I saw in passing were some giant signs selling jeans with her name on them. A lot money behind whoever-she-is as a product was my thought. I don’t remember what she looked like.

I was gonna correct your spelling but decided it would be a dick move.

I really like listening to LockedOnVols. He’s a really insightful host and I consider him a good mix of homer vs unbiased and he’s probably one of the least obnoxious hosts you could ever watch. He actually knows ball and has played it which is more than you can say for most reporters.
Agree. BlueChip Breakdown is one of my favs on YT.

NM, I was gonna address the spelling not to be a dik but fyi. Someone beat me to it!

Hank Lauricella was a running back on General Neyland’s 1951 national championship team and runner-up for the Heisman Trophy that year.

The Lauricella Center for Letter Winners is adjacent to the team locker room in the north end of Neyland Stadium and serves as a destination for all Volunteer and Lady Vol letter winners and their families to gather before or after football games. This two-level room features a field-level view of Neyland Stadium and has a capacity of three hundred people. The room is named for former Vol great Hank Lauricella and his wife Betty in recognition of their leadership support of the Campaign for Neyland Stadium. The Lauricellas are both graduates of the University of Tennessee.

Peyton asked that I mention that Hank was from New Orleans.

This video gave me chills. It was hard for me to explain to strangers the oppressive force that the noise in Neyland represents. The chorus has come back in full volume. Butch gave us glimpses, but Coach Heupel has helped Volnation find its voice and swagger again. Big thanks to the administration, coaches, and players. It takes a village to resurrect a program.

That Florida team they dismantled in the title game wasn't a bad team either. . .
