'26 VA RB Savion Hiter

Nope. I'll roll with Hiter at RB. Any QB can hand it off to a talent like that. The same can't be said of a QB hitting a WR in stride. I'll take my chances with the running game.
We don’t need an elite RB and we have shown that. All those mentioned before were not elite RB’s. Even Sampson was a 3 star on the composite and only 24/7 had him sneaking into as a 4 star. I would love to have Hiter for sure but if I’m only getting 1 it has to be Keys, we saw how well 5 star WR made teams go last year and how 5-star freshman really made a difference. Now OSU would still have been great at WR but Smith elevated that position for them and made a decent QB looks great, same at Bama for Williams as he had a RB for QB and still had a great season. Would love to get both though because I’m greedy lol

You don’t need elite RBs or WRs to be productive against most teams. But when you play the best teams, you need difference makers. There is a reason we haven’t been close to GA and were boat raced by OHSt

Exactly. Gimme an elite RB and that's the foundation for my offense.

Yes, which is why it would be nice to get both, the thing is which is more valuable and right now that would a WR as we have made some good backs look downright studs. I mean Jabari Small looked good in this offense and just like Sampson he was a 3 star kid, as was Wright. 2 of those 3 were drafted. A talent that hopefully Keys is like Williams and Smith would really open the offense up more. Williams with a running back as QB had 865 yards and 8 TD’s while Smith at OSU had over 1,300 yards and 15 TD’s.

That reason is bc they dominated the LOS, not bc we didn’t have elite RBs and WRs.

Not to dispute your point, but it also would have been nice if Sampson could have played more than one snap. Arctic temperatures were too much for that injured hamstring.

I really want Hiter. He would get so many touches and be such a fan favorite and feast in this offense. And give us more recruiting power in the future. Nobody is going to try to Hiter is a “system’ RB. They would look foolish.

For sure holding my breath, proud to be in the short straws, but not getting too invested due to lack of knowledge. Too many dynamics with all the new rules with these truly elite level prospects. Bet their heads are spinning too debating gut, heart and wallet. I will grin for days if we get one, but cringe thinking about the tirades stored up by the LOMS during our win streak.
How long can you hold your breath? You can give yourself brain damage doing that. Wait a minute, it may have already happened :) :) :)

There is that nasty rumor going around here at the house. In direct conflict with the one about my state of near perfection I keep floating around.

When I was single and 30. Would practice in the pool. Got all way to :45. Right about time I read Eric Greitens Autob. Just to put that in perspective, SEALs. an hold breath for 2-5 minutes. While free divers 5-10 minutes.

no biggie. 10 minutes on a aingle breath. nicking futs.

I know that nowadays money plays a crucial role in recruiting, but how could you not look at our RB play/development and not want to play in this offense as a 5* RB? Sampson broke all kinds of records and he was a 3*, Jaylen Wright was a 3* and he had 2 great seasons, Jabari small was solid, etc. I mean just look at the proven production! How could you not want to be here? Take the money out of the equation, and I don’t think it’s close between us and Michigan at the moment.

I get what you’re saying but Michigan has put 3 backs in the NFL the past 3 drafts. That and TE are their bread and butter. With that said, the kid chooses the Vols.

They have but that was also with a different head coach for the most part. The jury is still out on Moore IMO

Honestly, out of the 3 remaining 5 stars on our board (hiter, gray, keys) hiter is probably at the bottom. You never turn down a 5 star ol, and Keys would be an instant contributor at wr for us

Idk. The RB position kind of makes our offense go. This kid appears clearly to be the best RB by a wide margin imo this year.
