WRs get paid as well. The least valued positions are RB, off-ball linebacker, box safety, and interior o-line/run stuffing DTs. Basically anything that helps or hinders the pass game is valued. Stopping the run or running the ball is no longer valued highly. With that said it's possible this changes going forward as the league becomes more run focused. The Eagles this year proved that you can win a championship build around a dominant run game rather than pass game. If more run focused teams win you could see the trend of focusing on the pass game change.

You must absolutely be able to stop the run on defense and disrupt the quarterback. If you can’t stop the run your probably not getting to the quarterback either. The LOS is where it’s won and lost in the SEC. That makes a quick processing quarterback and a good O-Line equally important. In truth you need to be good everywhere to win on the sec. Gimmicks and tricks won’t do it. GBO
