'26 UT WR Salesi Moa (Tennessee commit)

Correct. Go back and read my posts. Not saying he's not a WR. I'm saying:

A) He's both a WR and a Safety.
B) As a freshman, his fastest path to PT is at Safety. So let him focus there as a freshman, while also practicing some at WR, then see if he can make an impact at WR as his career goes on.

Unless you think he's going to beat out Matthews, Staley, Brazzell, Keys, Smith, Jackson, and Dodson next year to be in the top 7 WRs. Because I don't. And even if he is in the top 7, he would need to be in the top 5 to get any kind of meaningful PT. That's not happening next year

Why don’t you? We know nothing about Jackson or Dodson or even Smith yet. What if this cat steps on campus and balls out from day one? Nobody knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know that the path to the field at S is much easier than the path at WR in 2026. I absolutely know that. And so do you.

Name the players we will have at both of those positions next year. List them off. Then tell me how I’m remotely close to wrong.

With the current roster outlook, sure.

The portal changes quite a bit though. They could find a day 1 impact player at safety in the portal and WR’s could leave like they did last year.

If Brazzell has a good year, he's probably gone.

He was sold on playing both ways. There's a much clearer path to PT at Safety as a freshman. Our WR room will be absolutely stacked next year.

I'm not saying don't ever play him at WR in his career. We were talking about his freshman year. Play him primarily at S as a freshman, then let him play both in the future. Truthfully, the kid might have a higher upside at Safety.
It is certainly easier to play primarily at S and have a small package at WR then vice versa.

I said nothing about his path to play at S. I don’t disagree it’s a shorter path to play.

I simply asked why you didn’t see him beating out anyone in the WR room.

yeah. He likes contact and he has the mobility of a high-level skill player.

Good instincts at safety too.

Rashad Baker and Jabari Greer were both All-American WRs in HS and they both went into the NFL at DB. We need to get back to that.

Because there will be 3 returning starters, the #1 WR recruit in America, and 3 talented sophomores who will know the system and have experience. The task of beating those guys out for PT vs. the task of beating out 1 of Farooq, Beasley, or Sidney Walton in order to get on the field is night and day. Obviously.

It’s big time college football. You better come in with a realistic attitude but I see Heupel being able to play two groups of WRs soon. Very soon.

I don't understand how anyone can argue against your point. Obviously anything can happen between now and then. I hope he comes in and claims a spot. That would mean we have the next Jeremiah Smith
