Better bring the sunscreen for that one. One of the worst burns I ever had was at BOA stadium.

It does appear to be quite shallow, even though it holds 75k+ fans. Sun should be overhead for most of the game.

It is. The sight lines are really good, but if you’re upper level you better bring out the SPF 1000 because you won’t get any relief. That said, Charlotte is awesome. Uptown is a great time with great bars and restaurants. Now all we have to do is win the game. I say our time of possession better be around 40-45 minutes.

Saw these comments from Dana Holgerson the other day.

"We're excited to be playing in this game, and I'm a big proponent of these neutral-site games to start the year," WVU coach Dana Holgorsen said during a two-day tour of Charlotte, North Carolina, to promote the game. "It's a bowl-game atmosphere. Although the players and coaches don't get to treat it like a bowl game, the fan base does.

"From the players aspect of it, being able to be in an NFL stadium and being in a huge venue is something that they really look forward to. We've got a bunch of these games in the future and we've played a bunch of them already and we will continue to do it."

"Everyone wants high expectations," Holgorsen said. "I can assure you the fan base at Tennessee is going to have high expectations as well. Everyone does that in college football. Everyone wants to be good. Everyone wants to be relevant. We're fortunate to have some star power coming back."

"We changed up all our stuff, too, so they don't have any idea what we're going to do," he said. "Wishbone. Option. We're going to get rid of the three-down front and we're going to kick down to more four-down stuff. We played a lot of zone and Cover 3 last year. We're going to play mostly man coverage this year."

Why is Charlotte's downtown area called Uptown?

Noticed utsports mentioned this

"The Volunteers will put their 12-game winning streak against non-conference opponents on the line"

and fortunately didn't mention anything about our in-conference winning streak.

That’s because it’s a non conference game. Makes sense.

Why is Charlotte's downtown area called Uptown?

"This was the highest elevation point, and the city grew around it. When people came to this point, they were going ‘up,’ On Sept. 23, 1974, a City Council proclamation declared that the shopping and business district in the center city be officially named ‘Uptown Charlotte.’”

It will all depend on where you sit. We went to the Belk kickoff game last year, it was at 3. We probably spent an hour in the sun. Opposite of us..they spent the entire game in the sun.

yeah, in that shot, it's dusk, so you can see what side of hte stadium the sun is setting....n/w endzone/west side gets some shade late.

at 3:30, everyone will roast. i doubt it will be as hot as it was though for the 2016 UF game in Knoxville. mercy, i'm still sweating from the 1st half of that one.

anywho, hope to be one of them. :eek:lol:
