Agreed. Honestly, if we're favored, it wouldn't shock me at all. They've been inconsistent, we've closed strong.
It does seem that they haven't played a team like us in style all year (poor running, good deep passing, spotty defense), and we certainly haven't played a team like them all year (good defense, zero ground attack, lots of short passing). So it's hard to get a feel for it.
Oregon is averaging 538 yards/game, and Auburn is averaging 498 yards/game. And I don't think either of these defenses is exceptional.
I imagine both teams will come out a little tight in the first half, so at halftime, people who took the over might be a little nervous. But I think it'll open up in the second half and be an absolute track meet.
