I don't wanna watch Scotty Hopson miss a free throw to lose in a game where we almost made the final 4. That dude had the weakest mentality ever. McRae is way better than Scotty ever thought about being

Remember the look on his face when he got fouled? I thought he was going to pass out due to nervousness.

That airballed FT still hurts. Such a tough loss. I think we would have played Duke where many thought we matched up well vs them.

The entire game is on YouTube here:

I remember being so depressed after this loss. To make matters worse, my roommate at the time came barging into my room about 10 seconds after we lost and started yammering about some crap that happened to him during class that day. I just stared at him blankly until he left, and then of course hopped on VN to commiserate with everyone else.

I had to work until late that night and I was so pumped for this game I didn't check my phone all night so I wouldn't find out the score. So I got home and turned on the DVR and watched the whole game until like 3 a.m. That was a bad night.

I was in St. Louis for both this game and the game against Ohio State. Chanting "SEC" at the Buckeye fans was, of course, indescribably awesome, but I was numb after the Michigan State loss. We were so damn close.

No thank you. That game left a hole in my living room wall approximately the size of my fist.

I am actually a fan of MSU.

After I watched the entire replay of that game, I came away encouraged at the difference in chemistry of this year's team. There are multiple occasions when you can find them bickering with each other after foul calls, turnovers, etc. They were undisciplined, and mentally unfit when it came to free-throw shooting late in games. Brian Williams was 1-4 going down the stretch and actually air-balled 2 free throws out of the 4. Scotty's defensive lapses late also did us in. An exciting, talented squad that was equally frustrating when it came to their self-destructive tendencies.

Agreed. The "March" version of the 2014 Vols would handle the "March" version of the 2010 Vols.

Get out, lol!

Lol. My moms side of family is from Lansing and ive always followed MSU basketball. Its hard to not like Izzo and what he has accomplished there.

Don't fret, my Vols are number 1 through and through. Hence the hole in my wall lol.

It sucked but so surprising because of the suspensions I wasn't really that sad. The 2007 Ohio State hurts me more, the 09 Oklahoma State game made me more upset than the MSU game.

I do miss watching JP Prince.
