WRs really stepped up in the second half making some good catches.

It was indeed good throws too in the 2nd half.

He isn't given enough credit for the way he runs the offense. We saw how outa wack the offense was against Florida when he wasn't in the game. People need to sit back and give the kid a chance. He has the skill, but he's a first year starter that needs a little time to grow. Hopefully UGA was the game where it all came together.

He manages the game well like McCarron but we do not have enough individual skill players who can make something out of nothing. We need our QB to make plays for us and that is why people are pi$$ed with him.

The team is growing and improving, they believe in themselves. I don't think they ever did under Dooley.

But all the message board and radio call-in gurus said he sucks so that's how I'm forming my opinion.

Playmakers are starting to show up. Remember, these are all kids getting their first shot since high school.

Dude it wasn't an opinion but a fact. The second half he came out a new man. He had some confidence and stayed in the the pocket longer with the ball, squared his feet, and really followed through on his throws and it showed. I think he's starting to trust the WR to be where they should and he was throwing to spots which leads to his throws hitting guys in the numbers. I was thoroughly impressed with Worley in the second half. He truly took full command of the offense.

Dooley consistently told them "they're not very good" and never owned it as his own coaching ineptitude. I wouldn't have believed in the team if I was a player during that circus of a coaching tenure either.

It's great to see. It contradicts the WERSSIMBT club that said "worley will never make it in the ESH E SHEE", etc.

(WERSSIMBT = What Every Rube Says So It Must Be True) :)

I guess that's all it was. Not like he was benched in favor of a freshman or anything.

It's great to see that he's played one decent half against a very poor defense that hasn't been able to stop anyone, and that's buoyed your confidence in him.

Worley wants to show he's turned some sort of corner he has to play well weekend after next. We lose to SC and the season could get away from them.

I'm just tired of all the "armchair nfl scouts" on the interwebz. Worley obviously struggled in his first few games, and as you point out has a ways to go.

But a reasonable person might have noted that his problems in the early games mostly seemed to be MENTAL, and not physical. Not that he has the greatest arm, but plenty of QBs without a strong arm have done a terrific job because they had the heart and mind for the game. And heart and mind is something a player can do something about.

Further, a reasonable person might note that our WR corps is VERY inexperienced and likely responsible for part of the problem as well.

Finally, a reasonable person might note that we have AN ENTIRELY NEW OFFENSE THIS SEASON, and that it might take a few games to get "sea legs" for an almost brand new QB/WR corps.

But it's just "one of those things"...the backup QB is always the most popular player on the team! "Everyone knew" that Peterson "could not possibly be" worse than Worley. Everyone knew that "Worley is hopeless and won't ever get it".

"Everyone" was wrong...and they often are. Patience sometimes pays off....
