UT Vandy game 7:30pm start

Could be tough ticket if UT wins and FLA loses Saturday, I remember a few years ago the Vols were fighting for 6 or 7 wins and the tickets were outrageous on the street. Supply and demand I suppose..

If Vandy loses to Ole Miss this Saturday, they come into our game at 4-7. So, no bowl chance (unless there are not enuf 6 win teams to fill all bowl slots like last year).

If they beat Ole Miss, they will be 5-6 and need a win for bowl eligibility.

Of course, beating us and possibly keeping us from wiinning the East will be a lot of motivation for them.

I was actually hoping it would be a noon game so we could go ahead and beat them and get it out of the way.

If it was at Neyland that would be a different story, but it's not and Vanderbilt stadium is the equivalent of a high school venue.

I went to the Vandy vs FL game the week after we beat the Gators and it was all Gator fans at the game.

Before you ask, I was given the tickets and I was able to get home in time to see the TN vs GA game.

Live in Davidson CO and 6 of us will be in orange. Think Vandy web site still has tickets for sale. UTs only has singles.

This is the only game that weekend that might have any bearing on a division race, but CBS still doesn't want it because Vandy.

Can't blame CBS for picking the Iron Bowl with two ranked teams over a game with two unranked teams.

I agree, but it's just sad that a game that is possibly, if not likely, going to carry divisional implications is so unattractive because the East is dog vomit.

Isn't the max a team can be in a cbs game 5? This week makes five for us. I don't think they could show our game if they wanted to.

Yes, there is a 5 game limit, though CBS has purchased a 6th game from ESPN (see 2015 Bama). CBS picking UT-Mizzou means they likely never gave any thought to picking UT-Vandy.

I'm kinda glad we play at 7:30. That way I can watch the OSU vs Michigan game and Alabama vs Auburn before ours. Plus all the other rivalry games. And if Fl loses and we win out I can go to sleep a happy man. However, the inevitable is awaiting in ATL.

If Alabama and Auburn were both 5-6 and fighting for the "who gives a damn bowl", CBS would still take the iron bowl over Tennessee playing Vandy, no matter how good they are.

Most UT fans would even agree with that logic. Although it may have been more attractive if the game were in Knoxville, but I still doubt they would ever show it over the iron bowl.
