UT Soccer Inks Top 5 2015 Signing Class - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics

Head coach Brian Pensky and the Tennessee soccer program have assembled a top 5 2015 recruiting class. The Big Orange welcomes 10 very talented newcomers in 2015, including five players ranked in the IMG Academy 150.

The 2015 Tennessee soccer signing class features the No. 1-ranked player in the country in Katie Cousins. Cousins and Nicole Seaman enrolled early at Tennessee in January. The eight talented newcomers who will join Tennessee at the start of the 2015-16 academic year include Gretchen Cagle, Mackenzie Gouner, Danielle Marcano (No. 49), Megan Massey (No. 57), Maya Neal (No. 30), Tatum Wagner (No. 95) and Shae Yanez. Top Drawer Soccer ranked Tennessee's class at No. 4 nationally on Jan. 23. Tennessee's 2015 class is the highest ranked group in the SEC.

Unreal. I don't remember a higher class than this one. When the Volunteer train gains momentum...look out.

GO VOLS!

Looking forward to taking the fam to games in the upcoming season. They lost some close heartbreakers and had a good run at the end. This class should add even more depth.

This is a fantastic class. Hats off to Pensky and his staff for signing an excellent group of players. Well done. Let's hope for smart tactics right this year--last year we tried to play aggressively despite the fact that we had midfield issues and couldn't score, and as a result gave up a ton of shots in certain games when a more conservative approach might have gotten us a tie instead of a loss. I also hope that the staff considers ditching those rather ugly jerseys with the orange horizontal stripes from last year. Distinctive, yes, but NOT a good look! Should be an exciting team to watch this year and in the years ahead.

When UT hired this guy and I read his resume I thought this guy is going to make waves in the SEC and on a national level. I'm not a big soccer fan but would go to some Lady Vol, yes that's right Lady Vol, soccer matches with this kind of talent.
