I agree and am man enough to say as such.I think you must not have watched the team play last year. 4-6 is just a little silly. I might be persuaded to say that 6-4 is the floor, with that only happening if JG plays like JG and Pruitt insists on playing him all season; but JG all by himself is not going to drag the entire team to 4-6, and it's just a disservice to the progress the team has made under Pruitt to say they are capable of 4-6. I think the only way 4-6 could happen is if half the team walked out on the season because of COVID.
Veteran teams with quality depth and veteran leadership at the QB position alongside elite defense tend to do well. I think veteran players and quality depth are going to be big factors in an SEC only season. The SEC is going to be similar to the NFL this year and I could see two 2 loss teams playing in the SEC championship, maybe even a 3 loss division winner. There are going to be a bunch of 6-4 records this year.I agree and am man enough to say as such.
You are 100 percent correct and it was errant of me to say 4-6 is the floor.
It is a huge disservice to Coach Pruitt and what he and this staff of coaches as well as the players have done so far to say any of the.would let this spin out to a 6 loss season...even against this year's competition.
That said, if JG does JG as he has in the past then I think he costs at least one game and we do end up 6-4...possibly 5-5 IF Pruitt and Chaney throw the towel in on JG after he costs us a game we should have won and throws Mauer, Shrout, or Bailey to the wolves...not a scenario I see happening, but could to build up next year.
Im not sure your far off...im predicitng 5-5. An early loss to SC makes that look bleak...honestly this team need to be 7-3...and knocking on 8-2...itll depend on JGI agree and am man enough to say as such.

Y'all are very optimistic. Vegas has us around 5.5 wins iirc. FPI at 4 I think. Either way, this is a tooough schedule and winning 5 or 6 games would be very solid. 7 would be exceptional.
I'd be interested to see some season predictions based on win shares (place a winning % for each game). Here's mine:
USC 60%
Mizzou 75%
UGA 25%
UK 60%
BAMA 15%
ARK 90%
TAMU 40%
AUBURN 40%
VANDY 90%
UF 30%
=5.25 Expected wins
It's a QB problem. Sorry, but when you're losing in games from the start, you have to throw to catch up. That's the reality and JG has never developed anticipation attributes and he can't throw a receiver open. It's hard to get good QB play when your QB can only throw after a receiver has made his break. Our lowly rushing numbers are due to the fact we've been playing from behind most of the timeI've posted it 100 times. JG needs to be better, but we're on a 3 year run of finishing in the bottom of the league in rushing. Don't tell me it's all a QB problem.

You’re right and it will be even more volatile with Covid thrown in. We literally don’t know from game to game who will be available for any team.We are good for an upset, and a "WTF" game. I could see us pulling a win angsinst A&M or Auburn if we catch them sleeping, and an inexplicable loss to Kentucky.
I agree, though I have UK, USC, Aub, Tamu all in the 40-60% range, so none of those Ws or Ls would be all that surprising either way to me.We are good for an upset, and a "WTF" game. I could see us pulling a win angsinst A&M or Auburn if we catch them sleeping, and an inexplicable loss to Kentucky.
