125$ for sidelines and 70-85$ for lowers? We're 5-5 playing a 6-4 team.. This game however needs to be a big crowd, unfortunately nobody is going to pay these outrageous prices. I hate to see a senior day with 20,000 empty seats because UT won't cut prices to put butts in seats. This team does deserve support but my lord...

I went to the KY game and sat in section M with a bunch of KY fans all around. after half the KY fans near me were discussing how disgusting the bathrooms were in Neyland. I have to agree with them. Neyland needs an overhaul not more damn luxury seats with prissy seats and frilly drinks with umbrellas.

Got an email from the UT athletic dept last week at about 5am for a "flash sale" for the Kentucky game. I was already up with an infant so by 5:30am I bought 2 great seats in lower level I for $30 a piece. This is a great price. I selected my own seats and noticed that about the entire section I was available. Got to work at about 8 and told my buddy here who is a UK alum about the sale. Log in to get tickets and what do you know the entire section and about the whole stadium is now sold out. Check out StubHub and all those tickets available for $30 through UT three hours ago are now listed for ~$60+ on StubHub. These are the worst kind of people.

Point being... UT should lower the price to get butts in seats. We need as many people there as we can get. But it won't stop the StubHub scalpers from buying up every cheap ticket to make an unethical buck off of normal people trying to afford to take their family to a game. Luckily market value on the secondary markets is already really low for this game.

Knowing that the money goes straight to the growth of program I’ll gladly pay what I need to pay.

There will be plenty of folks at the game... a decent amount more than if we lost to KY.

While we're at it, thinking we may "only" have 85-90K in the stands, did anyone see the Mizz/Vandy game crowd? They should have their SEC card taken from them just for that. They've got a small stadium, and there were swaths of open seats in clear view in the lower level between the 20's.

The charlotte tickets weren't reduced prior to the game (at least a week out and most people need notice to make plans) and there were thousands still available. The marketing/sales department needs to promote some ticket sales and get attendance back up. There may be price slashing but the fans aren't seeing it... send out emails, get it on the radio, etc.

Help is supposedly on the way. The South end zone has always been part of the long-term plan and is the last phase. Fulmer reiterated that when he became AD. I've been sitting in the lower portion of Upper Deck South end since it opened in 1976. I could have moved may years ago but there's now sentimental attachment to it. The stadium upgrade has been a loooong wait.

As far as ticket prices go, there ought to be many available for a good price. I've got two extra this weekend that I am going to try to sell for $20/pair. Just don't want them to go unused and get more Vol fans in the stadium in what has become "enemy" territory; I will either sell them to Vol fans or they will go unused. When my daughter and her husband do not come, I usually do this. You may be surprised how many people turn up their noses when they find out the seats are in the south upper deck, despite the price. Obviously, I like the seats and the view of the field.

I liked section M, the view was good, I was under the overhang in case of rain and high enough to see the whole field. I might do upper deck if I can get close to front row.
There were tons of tickets for the KY game on the strip. I had 3 extra and tried to sell for $20 each, no takers. So my wife and I had plenty of room around us.

Back when I was in school at UTK,student's got their tickets for free by showing their student id's at the student center and they got random student sections seats.Students pay enough for school, and if you don't have much extra money, why not let them in?The student sections would a!ways be full.Regular seat s go at 30-80 per seat.Still good money to spend for"yummies fpr the tummy"as Arnold Zandy would say as he sold hotdogs in Neyland.

Agree with you OP, but they will charge that because a great many UT fans would pay it even if UT was winless
