eeh we don't play that well on the road. Probably a loss.

Yeah, I guees considering we had freshmen heavy lineup had nothing to do with last year's road woes. We probably shouldn't even show up. Especially with a pathetic lineup that consists of Chism, Smith, Smith, Lofton, and Smith. Not even taking in the account of the added athleticism and length off the bench next year. We don't have a chance.

no we have a chance. A damn good chance. I think the environment favors Memphis and I give us a 45/55 chance of winning. Never said we shouldn't show up. Don't put words in my mouth.

Every time the game is not in December, it's a big advantage for Memphis. They're in the middle of their loser conference, and we're in the middle of SEC play. Memphis will have, what, two months to prepare for the game?

For some reason I think there will be a lot of UT fans there somewhat making up for the "road game." Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but if the football games are any indication to the crowd support in Memphis we should be 40/60.

ah, this is a good thing........should be two really good teams, in state rivalry, two good coaches that don't mind taking "jabs" at each other........in late February, with hopefully NCAA seedings on the line.....

what else could you want? this is a very good thing, all day exposure for both schools on national tv, a likely primetime game......this is going to be cool.

We officially have a hatvol sighting. hat, what do you think of the whole Tyler Smith situation? Haven't seen any responses from you regarding that issue.

If the Smiths and Coach Pearl can put the vitriol of the initial recruitment/refusal to release behind them, it's a winning situation for both sides.

This could be a stepping stone for UT to have national exposure year in and year out. It would be in the best interest of both teams to make this game annual. Memphis would help its SOS and UT would gain elite media exposure.

I just think UT-Memphis is a made for TV rivalry has the potential to become a marquee game for basketball fans in general.

Man, I can't wait to see Pearl's team with a deep, athletic bench and can press all 40 minutes of the game.

Agreed.

Other than Indiana-Kentucky or Louisville-Kentucky, I can't think of a non-conference rivalry that has the same immediate potential. Unless UNC-GTown start going at it.
