More people have seen a UT game in person than the entire population of Wyoming and Vermont lol

Tennessee leads nation in attendance at midway point in season

Through six games, the midway point of the college football regular season, more people have witnessed a Tennessee game in person than any other school in the nation. The school announced this week that, so far, 659,875 people have attended a Volunteers football game this season.

For perspective, that total is more than the entire current population of Wyoming (586,107) and Vermont (626,042), according to a United States Census Bureau estimate in July 2015.

In fact, by the end of November, the Volunteers will likely leave the million mark far behind. They play six more games during the regular season, including four at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville with its official capacity of 102,455.

Wow! The Vols are kicking some serious azz in attendance. We haven't had this much excitement around the football program since 2001. Go Vols!!!

Little Nicky will be mighty unhappy when he reads that story.

When your 6 games include 3 in Neyland, 1 at Bristol, 1 at UGA, and 1 at aTm... it's not surprising.

No. No surprise, but when a whole lot of other teams show up at these places, do this many fans show up? Not arguing, just wonder. I know home fans always show up, but do visiting team fans show up as well as we?

If it wasn't for us having to play at that high school stadium in Nashville we'd probably average over 100,000 per game for the season! Once again, Peabody drags things down!!

It would be interesting to hear the season total estimate of the TV audience after this weekend. 4 feature games on CBS, etc..

SO? They still count as seeing a Tennessee game.

You know, I admit that i posted haphazardly. My post was short and i have a history for being a smarty pants. My bad. I wasn't taking a shot at our attendance at all. I was simply offering the B@B as a good thing because that game of 150k added 50k more than most stadiums can handle. Our atendance will be great this year in part due to the B@B.

It means do do. Who cares. Most of those in attendance are Tn fans, means nothing. If the weather had been crappy that number would have been lower. That ain't gone help us git in the playoffs.
