Just watched the replay. Has anyone heard what booms injury was? I just watched it and appeared to be a dislocation. Was not caused by a ut player. So the ky fans that said it was are wrong

All I've heard was it was an elbow injury. I haven't seen a replay of the hit or anything. They didn't show it in the stadium so we all thought it was a knee/leg the way he was laying down. I think he just landed with an arm extended when Martin wrapped him up. Unlucky, which seems to be how a lot of RBs have been against UT.

Watching the replay it flopped after and then appeared to go back in right before the tackle was made. I did slo mo on it really looked ugly

Ugh, that sucks. Those dislocations can be extremely ugly. Thanks.

I think he injured it twice on two separate plays. IIRC, the second time he planted it when he was falling and it hyperextended-- never good. He's a good RB-- hope he heals quickly.

Replay during the game showed a hyperextended elbow. I thought it was knee at first, but watching the slow motion you see him reach for the ground and ... oohhh.

First injury was to ribs.

Tennessee player was injured early in 2Q, UK fan in front of me yells, "Drag his ****ing ass off the field".
It is, what it is.

Wow, that's some class right there. I hope you yelled at him. Quiet people both teams are trying very hard

I just enjoyed hearing the UT fans chant "Defense" in the 3rd quarter after the KY fans had left. It was awesome to hear it that clear on the broadcast.

I'm not a grammar nazi, but I have to say that your stray comma in that last sentence made me think you might be Christopher Walken. It was fun to re-read the post in his voice.

He hyperextended his elbow when he put his hand down trying to stay up. You could see it on the replay.

Earlier in the game, they were discussing an injury to his ribs. I just assumed that he took a hit on the goaline that exacerbated that original issue. But I was wrong....Courier-Journal says it was his elbow

UK loses Boom Williams to elbow injury

I was there as well and they have to be the worse fans I have ever experienced. It wasn't just a few either it was damn near all of them.

We sat in front of some UT fans who kept yelling "EXTREMELY EASY blah blah blah". Some UK fan got fed up and told them to shut up. Didn't hear it anymore lol and the UT fans left. There was also some random UK fan who started singing Rocky Top in the most sarcastic way ever. Some really funny reactions in the 3rd Q. Didn't see anything unwarranted though. A few UT fans throwing peanuts but oh well.

I think UK will be looking at having to hire another head coach in December 2016 after UK goes 5-7 this season and 5-7 in 2016.

Others have already pointed out that it happened when Boom planted his hand, but I just wanted to clarify that it wasn't during the Martin tackle. It was before Martin wrapped him up. Boom was just trying to extend the play and get a TD. Poor kid :hmm:

I haven't seen it since the play happened. They didn't show a replay in the stadium. I don't think Martin did anything wrong. Just unlucky.

When I was in high school we had a back that had the same thing happen to him. Was being tackled, put his arm down to try and catch himself, got hit and his arm went 90 degrees the wrong way. Ugly. Coaches showed on the game film the next day too.
