UT in negotiations with Kippy Brown

I'm getting fed up with this... one minute he's coming the next he's not, let's talk to someone who wants the freaking job.

I'm fairly sure we have been. Spence said he wasn't offered. Maybe he said something about the 'spread' referring to the variety of offerings at the meal they shared, but CPF thought he was refeering to the type of offense and appropiately ruled him out. :)

that's because your getting all pumped up on 3rd hand, heard at the Circle-K reports. People interview for jobs all the time only to figure out it's not a move they want to make. No big deal

I'm not getting pumped, just confused. I just want to get it over with, really.

Good luck to Kippy Brown as OC of the Detroit Lions. We need a guy who can design and scheme for today's college game. The pro-style is dead unless you have NFL talent up and down the roster.

No it isn't. That's absolutely ridiculous. Both of the teams playing for the BCS championship run a pro style O. Both have above average talent but go ahead and name a single spread option team that's won anything without above avg talent.

An aggressive philosophy and great execution are far more important than schemes in "today's college game"... just like any other era of college football.

I completlty agree. They use it in the NFL for a reason. If a offense executes the Pro Style right they can be unstopable.

Give me a Pro Set over a Spread Option anyday.
