It is funny to see how the NCAA looks at rosters when seeding. If a star player goes down, your seed goes down. I always found this interesting.
That's what I'm saying about a couple of road upsets. Beating UK or UF on the road would be MAJOR. I also agree that we have to at least sweep Georgia and South Carolina. Splitting with Vandy works but we still need that big upset win against UK or UF. Beating Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Bama are must wins.
That's is what I've been curious on. I hope if we rip off a good sec record and finish strong NCAA looks at us and says wow with stokes they are definitely a NCAA team.
If we get 1 vs vandy, beat uga and sc twice, and beat Arkansas, lsu, ole miss, and bama, and auburn you forgot they'll be just fine. That's be 11-5 in sec that will get them in the tourney I'm pretty confident in saying.
IMO, if we go 11-5 in SEC play, we need to go really deep in the tournament to have an outside shot, upsetting a couple of teams.
Without beating one of the two (UK, UF) on the road, I just don't see them doing it with a weak SEC.
- Vandy laid a semi egg at the first of the year and lost a couple they shouldn't have so the majority of their work is going to come in SEC play. We at least need to split.
- Kentucky has obviously handled business but without beating them, it means nothing really.
- Florida has done well enough at home that beating them there would be pretty impressive.
The only other team I see dancing is Miss State (blah) and Bama, which is winnable. Arkansas could be a bubble team too.
