This.

DeBord is an extension of Jones and running what Jones want run on offense.

If you want some major philosophical( in so much that there is a discernible philosophy to this offense) change on offense, gonna have to cut the head man.

Whose paying the $10 million dollar buyout?

He shouldn't have a 10 million dollar buyout in the first place! The horrifically bad deals our past two athletic administrations made are what led us through a decade of misery. It starts at the top and the university hasn't been fully committed to a successful football program like other schools. Its evidence in our mid major hires. Shell out the money for a proven winner and the revenue will follow.

If CBJ is let go, what decent coach would want the job?

See that depends, do we...

A) Make a move with a talented roster, current brand recognition/respect, and some momentum in recruiting

or

B) Wait till the wins drop to missing a bowl game, the roster is once again void of talent, recruiting has suffered, the sales pitch is no longer working and the program is near dumpster fire again?

I think this is the difference between UT and other top flight programs. You strike while the iron is hot, but recent history should tell you, UT will settle with option B.

CBJ is here through 2019. Depending on how the next 3 seasons will go, and who our next AD is will determine his fate. I doubt he drops many of the current coaches though, he's stubborn, and loyal to a fault.

Tell that to Jancek

(bull ****) (bull) ****.

What is exactly BS about it?

You actually think Jones is gonna bring in someone that wants to run an offense that differs from what he wants to run?

He had that chance a couple years ago and we got DeBord so it isn't happening.

The heck with buying new coaches, tell'em to go out and line some five star recruits pockets with cash. I mean I know bama gets recruits because they win but I have to believe that there's some shady under the table business going on at the same time.

Yep. I get tired of the hearing that the best players want to play for bama because they want championships. I call BS, the best players want play time and a shot at the NFL.

It's Petrino who has the buyout
