does it worry you that they are now selling 3 games tickets with Florida as one of the game? I've never seen that we have to entice people to buy tickets like that. Normally, you can't find a ut-uf ticket. is there going to be a problem filling the stadium this year? or am I reading too much into this?

Drop the price and you'll fill it up. That is if you put a respectable product on the field.

-3rd head coach in as many years.
-Head coach was unheard of before Jan. 15th.
-Not really expecting to be a contender next season in the SEC.
-Economy
-HDTV

The above are all reasons why UT needs to do a little extra marketing for ticket sales.

Lol at HDTV... Is that you Mike Hamilton?

Kidding aside, I do agree with your points

Speaking of HDTV, I find it interesting and slightly ironic that UT has decided to partner up with Dish Network... Having fans Saturday come out to the Dish Network O & W game may cause people to actually support the sponsor and probably wind up staying at home to watch the games, instead of coming to Neyland...

As we saw in 2008, they will not have a problem filling up the Florida or Bama games. Their fans travel...

yeah, i have a bad feeling those two game are going to be live the vandy game in 1998. at least the bama game will be tough, maybe the florida game will be some what competitive.

Donations down.
Season tickets not being renewed.
Dooley will not recruit 4 or 5 stars.
We have not gone to a BCS bowl since '99 season.

There is no excitement for the program with
tickets on the street very cheap.

Why would someone worry about something like that? Just buy the damn things and go enjoy...

Take a pill.

come on. new coach, pretty average team, no shot to compete at the sec. ofcourse they are trying everything possible to fill the seats. it's hard to fill seats when you are looking at a 500 average team.

Why should it matter what the team does? 500 average or not

Me I am a fan of UT and go to the games even if I think they will lose, maybe it is just me. Who cares that it is on TV, nothing like being there and staying til the clock reads 0:00. Tailgating with friends that are there every game tells me that it is not just me but some on here act like they would not go to a game unless they were 9-0.

Go to the game and enjoy the day :D

Made a mistake when they got rid of the Grandfathered ticketholders. Kicked out fans that were loyal thru thick and thin because there was high demand during the thick time. Now, there's not a base to fall back on in the thin time.

Crazy thing is- One can be a season ticket holder for a mere $463 anually.

They're not trying to sell out the Florida game but rather forcing folks to buy tix to the UT-Martin and UAB game to get the 'golden ducat" to see the gators. The same is true for the second package which has the carrot of the Oregon tix but forces one to purchase Ole Miss (not necessarily a bad game) and Kentucky (which is on Thanksgiving weekend and NEVER sells out) tickets. The UTAD held back single game tix to UGA and USCe ubtil the last minute last year. It has become all about packaging and marketing. Please note that the Alabama game is not offered in either mini-pack and must be purchased in the full season ticket package.

They dropped it to $100 now.

The days of buying Florida tickets for $150+ on the street are gone for now. It's sad we can't sell out for the biggest games of the season.
