I don't get whats wrong with having USC at #1.

IMO they're the #1 team this coming year by far.

Or am I missing something? :unsure:

I think most observers agree that USC should be the preseason #1 team...I also agree with LSU at #2. Michigan and Texas are top 5 in my opinion also.

why he has Florida at #3? They have an unproven quarterback and virtually no defense with any real experience and their running backs are suspect. I think they will be good by the end of the year but will lose at least 2-3 before they get there.

they lose their only two playmakers on offense with jarrett and smith and a 3 years starter at center. The defense will be very good, but the offense is no lock to light it up. They had virtually zero running game last season. Of course all teams have questionmarks. . .

You might be right, but the bottom line is that they're the defending national champs which means they get the benefit of the doubt.

The only reason the gators are in the top 5 is because of their national title last year.
