Thats pathetic. And I see the excuse-a-thon is still in high gear.

You honestly think somebody should make excuses for being 2-0? F*@% what some stat says, Vols won both games they've played. Find the best 10 teams that you HONESTLY believe are the best 10 teams in the country and tell me where they all rank compared to UT's 111.

The negathon continues huh Hop?

never said they were top 25, but I am sure they could probably beat several teams on our schedule.

And I never said they were a Div III team. They're a good to average team that couldn't go .500 in the SEC East. Yeah, they'd beat Kentucky, Tenn Tech, maybe Vandy or SCar. Theyre a bunch of 2 star athletes that are very well coached but shouldn't have stayed within 3 tds of us.

the only thing the stats say to me is that with some teams, you've "seen" evidence of offense. take FL on Saturday Del Rio statiscally had a great game against KY.

now KY being abysmal on defense helps that. but if i'm a FL fan, coming off the Umass game, i still have questions (which team is the real FL team?), but at least you've seen them put together an offensive performance worth building on.

we haven't seen that yet. that's the biggest difference in my mind right now. and until we do see some signs of life, the question still remains. and with our 4 game stretch around the corner....

we need to get some answers....

only stat that matters is 2-0...if we win we in :)

Yea sure, if your plan is to never improve until you lose. Maybe we should just try to constantly improve instead... I think that strategy has a better track record.

Total Offense | FBS Football Statistics - NCAA.com

UT is ranked #111 out of 128 teams in total offense.

Hopefully, some of the issues can be addressed and resolved in the next few weeks or it will get pretty ugly.

GO VOLS!

When you have a bunch of short field position...you won't have that many yards.

Yes, we can get better but a lot of that right now is misleading. How many of those teams ranked above us are 2-0? :clapping:

He will improve. The guy is talented. A true FR QB has a very small chance of success in the SEC. The guy can already throw better than some upperclassmen QBs.

Hard for him to develop touch with his stride just before release. Also the long stride with his arm angle makes it tough to put our air under the ball. I'm just saying I don't like him.

I don't care where we fall statistically, but I would love to see us racking up 400-500 yards of offense each week.
